Title 1

  • Welcome To Title 1

Title I is the largest Federal program serving students throughout the United States. The Title I program operates under the guidelines of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The Title I program helps schools and students meet state and local education standards. Title I funds are directed to schools with the highest poverty levels as determined by schools' free and reduced lunch rates.

Title I is a class that your child comes to for 30 minutes five times a week. In Title I your child is given direct instruction in reading in a small group. We track their progress weekly. When they have made adequate progress they are exited from Title I. Lots of practice at home can speed this process.

    Title 1 Special Events

Throughout the school year we have special events to help encourage families to become actively involved in their child’s reading.
