School District to survey families
Please take part in telephone survey just for parents!
The Gresham-Barlow School District is surveying families to prepare for a school boundary review process. Survey results will determine expectations and values across the district before a boundary review committee begins its work in September of 2019. We encourage you to take part in the survey! Proposed Social Science Resources
A teacher selection committee has recommended the adoption of McGraw Hill’s Networks as the new primary Social Science resource for GBSD middle school classrooms. Networks is a combination of digital and print resources aligned with the new social science standards adopted by the Oregon Department of Education. With school board and budget approval, these resources will begin being used in classrooms in the fall of 2019.
Stop by the school to see a sample of the student textbooks, or click on this link https://www.gresham.k12.or.us/Page/8164 to see digital samples.

We teach to cause a positive result...
Our mission statement says it all. We, the staff of DMMS, strive to provide an overall educational experience that is focused on academic and social growth for all students. We work hard to provide our students with positive experiences in and out of the classroom that will meet them where they are and get them where they need to be in order to enter high school prepared to graduate. From our school-wide AVID program to our Positive Behavior Support and Intervention program, we work to develop and expand student skill, knowledge, and understanding of what it takes to be successful in school and in life. With a very diverse student population, we work hard to create a culture of inclusion and acceptance of all students, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. The staff of DMMS are as hard working, professional, passionate, and compassionate group of educators you will find. We work together to serve all students and to help them realize the rewards of an education. "All Means All" is not just a mantra for us, it is the way we approach every day, every period, every student.
Thank you for visiting our newly updated website and please come back often to view up-to-date information, which will keep you informed about our school.
