You are receiving this email because you have communicated your household’s need for a device so that your student(s) can access distance learning during school closures.

Chromebooks will only be loaned to households that need them.  These must be returned by June 10th or when we return to school this spring, whichever comes first.

Please complete this Chromebook loan request BEFORE you come pick up your Chromebook(s).  You will need the student ID number of your OLDEST student in order to complete this form.  It is also your student’s lunch number and is on report cards.  If you do not have it available, please log into ParentVUE or call the school where your oldest student attends to request that ID number.

    Chromebook Loan Request Form

Chromebooks will be checked out at four different locations which can be selected in the request form linked above.  For your convenience, each location will be open for Chromebook check out from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm each day.

If your oldest student is in high school pickup will be on Wednesday, April 8.

If your oldest student is in middle school pickup will be on Thursday, April 9.

If your oldest student is in elementary school pickup will be on Friday, April 10.

We encourage families to come throughout the day to help us maintain safe social distancing during check-out.  Our process will allow you to check out Chromebook(s) without leaving your car. We ask that you remain in your car.

If you do not have a vehicle and need to walk to the site, we will provide a walk-up option that will require families maintain safe social distancing while waiting.

We have sufficient Chromebooks to meet our community’s needs.  We ask for your patience as we complete the device check-out process with each family.

    Sincerely,
    Gresham-Barlow School District

    Estimados padres/tutores,

Gresham-Barlow

  • Dear Families,

Beginning Tuesday, April 7, in order to improve social distancing and convenience for families, our meal program will be combined and distributed during one time period a day.

There will be no breakfast distribution or deliveries in the morning. Instead, a cold breakfast will be provided to families during lunch that can be eaten the next morning.

This means, beginning Tuesday, during the lunch distribution/delivery, the cold breakfast for the following morning will also be handed out.

Click here to view the updated schedules for meal distribution and delivery.

Mr. John George

At Dexter McCarty Middle School we teach to cause a positive result!

Greetings! Welcome to the 2019-20 school year, and welcome to the Dexter McCarty Middle School Website. It is here that we will strive to provide you with any and all relevant information, dates, and announcements that will serve to enhance our students and families' experience during their time as a Hornet. We hope that you will also take the opportunity to visit our facebook page and follow us on Twitter, @DMMShornets, as we expand our presence on social media to keep our families and community up-to-date on the latest happenings at DMMS.

We teach to cause a positive result...
Our mission statement says it all. We, the staff of DMMS, strive to provide an overall educational experience that is focused on academic and social growth for all students. We work hard to provide our students with positive experiences in and out of the classroom that will meet them where they are and get them where they need to be in order to enter high school prepared to graduate. From our school-wide AVID program to our Positive Behavior Support and Intervention program, we work to develop and expand student skill, knowledge, and understanding of what it takes to be successful in school and in life. With a very diverse student population, we work hard to create a culture of inclusion and acceptance of all students, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. The staff of DMMS are as hard working, professional, passionate, and compassionate group of educators you will find. We work together to serve all students and to help them realize the rewards of an education. "All Means All" is not just a mantra for us, it is the way we approach every day, every period, every student.

Thank you for visiting our newly updated website and please come back often to view up-to-date information, which will keep you informed about our school.

John George
