  • Information for Kindergarten Parents

    New Students
    Online Registration is available for new student enrollment. After the online application has been accepted, the school will contact you for additional follow-up and may schedule a meeting prior to your child's first day. This is important as you may receive ​school-specific forms to complete, class assignments, schedules, and other information to make your child's transition a smooth one.  If you have questions you can contact your neighborhood school.  Use the School Locator application to determine which school boundary you live in.

    Existing Students
    If your child currently attends a Gresham-Barlow school, you can verify/update the information we have on file by logging into your ParentVUE account.  If you forgot your username or password, click HERE.  If you do not have an account, please contact your child's school to obtain one.  

    Returning Students
    Online Registration is available for returning student enrollment.  Your child is considered a returning student if they have previously attended a Gresham-Barlow district school or charter. Families of returning students must use their existing ParentVUE account.  If you forgot your username or password, click HERE.  If you do not have an account, please contact your neighborhood school to obtain one.  Use the School Locator application to determine which school boundary you live in.

    Language assistance is available to help non-English speaking families with the enrollment process and other services.

Getting Started

  • New families to the Gresham-Barlow School District starting the registration process will create an online registration account. If you are a current GBSD parent, use your ParentVUE login to register.

    When enrolling for Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.

    During your online registration process, you may be asked to provide information or upload documents about the following information:

    WHO CAN REGISTER:

    • Only custodial parents/guardians who live within the Gresham-Barlow boundary can enroll their student

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER:

    • Proof of student's birthdate (birth certificate, state vital record, or passport)
    • Proof of address:
      • Utility Bills (such as gas, electric, water or cable within the last 30 days) OR
      • Rent or Lease Agreement with current dates OR
      • Mortgage Statement OR
      • Purchase Agreement such as an escrow agreement or contract for sale of real estate OR
      • Tax Bill for the current collection period
    • Immunization records
    • At least one emergency contact - including address and phone number

    • Physician contact information

FAQ

  • Who can register online?
    Online registration is only available if:

    • Your child has never attended a Gresham-Barlow School District school.
    • You are enrolling a new child in your neighborhood school

    If your situation does not fit the above criteria, contact your neighborhood school. You can use the School Locator application to determine which school boundary you live in.


    Who can I contact if I have questions about the registration process?

    My student is already enrolled at a Gresham-Barlow School, do I need to register them for the upcoming school year?
    No. If your student is already enrolled in a Gresham-Barlow School, you do not need to re-enroll them for the upcoming school year. In the Fall, we will ask you to verify your family and student's information. This is done through ParentVUE.


    How secure is the online enrollment?
    Online Registration uses a 256-bit, secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect information. The technology is similar to that used in other industries such as health care and banking.


    Can I register more than one student through Online Registration?
    Yes. Parents can register multiple new students in a household at one time.


    Can I start my Online Registration now and finish it later?
    Applications can be saved if more data entry is needed and reopened at a later time with the created username and password.


    Once my online application is submitted can I go back and make changes?
    No. In order to make changes to a submitted application, you will have to notify the school. The office staff can then make the changes for you.  Once your registration or verification has been accepted, then you can log in again and re-submit to make additional changes throughout the year.


    Can I access the Online Registration system from my smartphone or tablet?
    Online registration can be accessed via a webrowser on a smartphone or tablet.  However, for optimal user experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.  


    Why have I not received a confirmation email/status email after submitting an online enrollment?
    If you have not received an email confirmation after submitting the enrollment, please review your junk or spam folder and mark @gresham.k12.or.us email addresses as safe.
