Degrees and Certifications:
Dear Powell Valley Elementary School Community,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of Powell Valley Elementary School and to join this extraordinary school community. I hope that this note finds you enjoying the rejuvenating days of summer and that you and your children are looking forward to beginning a wonderful online school year together in September. The current COVID crisis has had all of us thinking and working together differently. I hope that all of you are remaining safe and are taking care of each other!
The Gresham-Barlow website contains useful information and updates that you might find helpful. Students will begin online school September 14, 2020. Please be on the lookout for communication from your child’s teacher soon! As the year progresses we will continue to update families with information as we receive it.
I will be reaching out to all of you soon with a family survey, I will also be starting a virtual coffee chat with the Principal shortly after our school year gets going.
To our students, I cannot wait to meet you all! I will be online throughout the year to see you and hear all of the excellent learning! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year, it may be different than what we are all used to but I know we can get through it together!!
In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2020-2021 school year.
With Gratitude and Respect,
Principal-Powell Valley Elementary School
