The Gresham-Barlow School District uses ParentSquare for District and school communication. An account is automatically generated for each parent/guardian, using the contact information in Synergy so you can get important, urgent, and emergency communications.
We encourage families to access their ParentSquare accounts so they can download the ParentSquare mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
- Receive messages from the school via email, text or mobile app notification
- Choose to receive information instantly when it’s sent out, or all at once in one message at 6 pm daily
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Direct message teachers and staff
- Participate in group messages
- Sign forms & permissions slips, sign up to volunteer, and more all from your phone or web portal

How do I sign up for ParentSquare?
A ParentSquare account is automatically created for each parent based on the email address and primary phone number you gave your school office during registration. If you do not remember the email address you used, please contact your school office and they can provide it.

How do I update my language preference?
Web browser: On your home page, click your name and select "My Account." Then, select "Language Setting.”
Mobile app: From your home screen, click the triple bar in the top left corner. Click on "Account," then "Preferences," then "Language Settings."

How do I change the notification settings?
You can choose between "instant" and "digest" notifications or choose to turn off notifications altogether (excluding emergency alerts and notices). The "instant" setting will send all posts notifications in real-time. The “digest” setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily. (We recommend the “digest” setting”.)
Change your settings:
From a web browser: On your home page, click your name and select "My Account." Then, select "Customize your settings" under Notification Settings.
From a mobile app: From your home screen, click the triple bar in the top left corner. Click on "Account," then "Preferences," then "Notification Settings."

How do I fix or change my contact details?
You can call the school office and ask for your contact information to be updated. After the school updates the information, the new contact details will be in ParentSquare the next day.

How do I change my password?
Go to https://www.parentsquare.com/signin and select the "Forgot Password" option.

Why am I not receiving emails from ParentSquare?
After confirming that your email address is correct, please check your spam folder. ParentSquare emails will arrive from donotreply@parentsquare.com, mark the emails as "Not Spam" or add the address to your contacts.
