Service Desk Options for Staff
Welcome to the Technology Service Desk
The Technology Service Desk is available to all GBSD staff. If you are a GBSD staff member and in need of immediate technical support, please call our Service Desk directly at (503) 258-4755 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM on normal school days. Our technical staff will work to provide a solution as quickly as possible. If you need to submit a service request (example: if you need to have a new printer setup or you need a new software application installed) please submit a ticket through our district online ticket system called Freshservice (information below).
FreshService is our Service Desk ticketing and request system. Use your district login credentials to gain access. Tickets are automatically routed to appropriate technology support staff.
- Report an Issue - Contact the support team with an issue or concern.
- Submit a Service Request - Raise a request for a new device, software, or service.
- Review Knowledge Base (KB) Solutions - Look up procedures or read FAQs to fix issues on your own.
Why submit your request online?
The online Freshservice system is a resource that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those that want to submit a help request. When you submit your request online it is automatically routed to the person responsible for supporting your issue in your location. Emails are automatically sent to support staff so they are alerted as soon as possible during normal business hours. For your convenience, you can track the progress of any issue you submit through Freshservice.
What kind of support is provided?
Through Freshservice, you can request support for Technology Services (computers, printers, software, network issues, new purchases, etc.) or Information Services (Synergy, state reporting, district database & information systems).
GBSD Support App
Immediately connect to a tech staff using the GBSD Support App. Launch the app from your computer dock (between 7:30am and 3:30pm on normal school days) to receive remote access support for your computer. Tech staff can help resolve issues, enter administrator passwords, or provide passwords to private GBSD wireless networks.
