Citations and Formatting
If you need help with creating citations or formatting your research papers, you have a number of good options for assistance. The Oregon State Library Information System (OSLIS) provides a handy MLA and APA citation maker program on their website.
Other great web options for automated citations include Citation Machine and EasyBib. You can find on-line tools for MLA, APA, Chicago style and more on these sites.
For a quick visual guide from EasyBib to the 8th edition of the MLA format, click here. For a more comprehensive guide from EasyBib to all things MLA, click here.
If you need some comprehensive advice on research and citing sources, the Purdue On-line Writing Lab is a great source for citation and formatting questions for research papers. It covers all the major styles of APA, MLA, Chicago and AMA.
Our Library has multiple copies of the most recent MLA Handbook (8th edition) and Chicago Manual of Style ready for check out. These guides tell you all you need to know about citing your sources and formatting your papers in these styles.
