The Collaboration Grant Fosters Professional Growth and Collaboration Opportunities for Teachers
In cooperation with the Collaboration Grant, teachers have the opportunity to reflect on their practice with a trusted peer and learn how to deepen their practice through meta-cognition and peer coaching by reflecting on a self-recorded lesson.
Professional Growth Specialists
The Grant supports Professional Growth Specialists in all buildings across the District. These amazing educators are tasked with fostering avenues for teacher growth and collaboration within buildings through site-based Reflective Conversations and Learning Walks
Through Reflective Conversations teachers will have the opportunity, to continue to develop their craft as they reflect on their own teaching practices and as well as how to encourage and impact the practice of their peers. In Learning Walks, teachers investigate best practice by visiting classrooms and reflecting on our professional growth rubric.

This year the Collaboration Grant will continue to provide teacher teams the chance to work together through a collaborative inquiry process. Selected groups will choose an area of focus and investigate learning at their own pace. This teacher-driven opportunity gives time, space and support for peers to be agents of their own professional learning. Sign up through the PGA today.
