No School on Tuesday, February 23 to allow for school staff health and safety training
Dear GBSD Families,
On January 29 we announced that the district would begin phasing in Limited In-Person Instruction (LIPI) after the second dose of the vaccine for COVID-19 has been made available to staff who would support the program.
In preparation for the phasing in of LIPI, there will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, February 23 so that staff can attend health and safety training required to begin LIPI.
Limited In-Person Instruction (LIPI) is an on-campus model supported by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) LIPI and allows small groups of students who have been identified at the school level based on data and targeted needs to receive individualized support for academics, social-emotional needs, internet connectivity, and so on. LIPI is in addition to comprehensive distance learning. LIPI will be phased in by groups over time.
If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to submit them to our online listening system “Let’s Talk.”
Sincerely,
Gresham-Barlow School District
