Alayna Luna

Alayna Luna reflects that her SBHS teachers inspired her to pursue teaching. 

“Attending Barlow showed me what a good teacher looked and acted like,” said Luna. “I had many great mentors.” 

She says that she gained many valuable skills and had opportunities that were very beneficial to her educational development.

After graduating she attended Concordia University then transferred to University of Oregon upon Concordia closing. She earned her bachelor's degree educational foundations and a master's of education in curriculum and teaching. 

She is currently in her second year of teaching fourth grade at a school that she really enjoys. In her free time, she likes to read and spend time with her dog.
