Sierra Montegna reflects on how GHS prepared her to take on a leadership role in the workplace

“I had experiences that led me to become a strong leader,” said Montegna. 

Participating in community service projects and counseling at Outdoor School taught her how to work well with a variety of different people.

Sierra is currently a manager of an operations team at a small local credit union in Denver.

At GHS she took advantage of various programs offered and utilized her teachers to develop an academic rigor that jump started her college career. 

She graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s of science in environmental sciences. Now, she is pursuing a master’s degree in data analytics from Colorado State University. 

When she’s not at work or in class, her main hobby is spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as taking care of a gaggle of rescue dogs and cats!
