Paige Stewart

As Paige Stewart looks back on her high school career, she fondly remembers the personalized touch students attending STHS received.

“I had some really amazing teachers,” said Stewart. “So many of them have left a mark in my memories, especially the individualized support that is not normally possible at a larger high school.”

STHS provided a firm foundation for Paige, who, when she graduated in 2018, was fully ready to embark on an exciting journey in higher education. 

She focused on studying American Sign Language, which she began studying at STHS and is now fluent in. She earned a degree from Western Oregon University in interdisciplinary studies focusing on special education and humanities.

Currently, she is pursuing a master's degree in theoretical and experimental linguistics at Université Paris Cité in Paris, France. She is expanding her mastery of sign language and learning Czech and French Sign Language. 

Next, she plans to pursue a doctorate in sign language.
