GBSD anticipates the need for a new District Office in the next two to five years. District leadership has been working with KMO Realtors to find an adequate space to meet the District Office's needs. The District wishes to keep its central office in the downtown Gresham area. Several properties were considered with the current Gresham library as the optimal location due to the amount of space needed to meet current District Office requirements. The library will be vacated when a new library is completed. This should take place within the timeframe needed for the District to purchase and renovate the building. The current tax assessed value is $3.2 million with approximately $1.3-$1.5 million in renovations. Revenue for the project will be generated through the sale of two District properties and interest earned on the sale revenues.
