Sam-Barlow High School Theatre Department dazzles at State

Students excelled in their performances across 14 categories. 

Sam-Barlow High School Theatre Department students participated in the state thespian festival in Salem in April. Students qualified to compete in 14 performance categories, saw impressive productions, attended workshops, and met some amazing people from around the state. 

Student Camden Schroeder won 1st Place in the solo musical category and got to perform for over 1500 people in the Salem Convention Center. 

Student Alissa Cohen won 1st Place in the playwriting category, and was selected to premiere her original play, "Laughing. Cheering. Chanting. Accepting," at the festival playwriting showcase.
