Peachjar Flyers
Community Flyer Distribution Process
The Gresham-Barlow School District provides community-based, non-profit, and for-profit organizations the opportunity so share information about educational, health, or social services and/or extracurricular learning opportunities with our families through the Peachjar electronic flyer system.
Informational flyers submitted to the school district that are approved for distribution are emailed directly to our parents and also posted on a website for up to 30 days.
How do I submit a flyer for review?
A copy of the flyer is required for approval.
If you need support, contact Peachjar directly at 1-858-997-2117
Is there a fee involved?
There is a fee that goes directly to Peachjar to pay for the system. Base pricing is $25 per school. The cost of paper, copy toner, and labor to make copies, count them out and deliver them costs more than $25 for 500 students, which is the average size of our elementary schools. This tool makes it possible to reach parents of middle and high school students too!
Peachjar bulk pricing plans are also available along with the purchasing of credits. To learn more, contact Peachjar representative Chris Ledford by email or by phone at 858-997-2117 x141.
What are the criteria for flyer approval?
“Flyers” include, but are not limited to, coupons, printed offers, or pamphlets. The Gresham-Barlow School District reviews flyer requests from community-based, non-profit and for-profit organizations on a monthly basis.
Criteria:
Flyers submitted for review and approved must offer educational, health or social services and/or extracurricular learning opportunities for students, staff and/or parents.
The Gresham-Barlow School District does not allow commercial advertising at any of its facilities. Flyers or materials that do not meet our criteria will be denied.
Flyers that are self-promotional for individuals, such as childcare, tutoring or sales-related commission are considered commercial. For additional information, please refer to board policy KJ and KJA.
Why did the District decide to move to an electronic flyer distribution system?
The District found that the flyer approval and distribution process was costing the taxpayers money. We need to use our resources for our primary work, educating students. Our partners are important to us, so we use an affordable service.
The Peachjar system assures parents get flyers from schools and community organizations in their email inbox. It also saves trees and saves time for the courier service, teachers, and office staff. It’s a win, win, preserving valuable resources for the earth and our classrooms!
What if I want a flyer distributed to staff?
Materials intended for staff are distributed through other means. Please contact Irma Molina at 503-261-4550 for more information.
Are there submission deadlines?
Deadlines are no longer needed. With the Peachjar system the district can approve flyers as they come into the system.
Note:
- The Gresham-Barlow School District reserves the right to modify these procedures as necessary.
- The flyer Approval/Decline Notification Form will provide you with distributions instructions or decline information.
