Dual Language Curriculum

Our Dual Language Immersion program uses curriculum that is parallel to the curriculum in our English Instruction classes. Curricula are selected through a rigorous curriculum adoption process that includes educator review of programs that are approved by the Oregon Department of Education, collection of student feedback, collection of family feedback, and approval by the Gresham-Barlow School Board.

One of the most important ways you can support your child at home is by talking with them in whatever language(s) you speak at home. Encourage your child to:
* tell stories
* explain their thinking
* support their opinions with reasons and examples
* teach something to a younger family member or "teach" a pet
Verbal reasoning and expression are crucial parts of children's development, whether in English, Spanish, or another language.
