I have been teaching at Springwater Trail High School since it opened in 2002. I earned my Masters in Biology and Music Education from Portland State University. 

Before moving to Oregon my wife and I lived in Fargo, North Dakota. While living there I taught percussion at Valley City State University. In addition, I taught private percussion lessons, played with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra and played drum set and percussion with a variety of area music groups.

I earned my Bachelors of Music degree in Music Performance from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. There I met my wife, performing together in the University Wind Ensemble.

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my wife. I also enjoy going back to Minnesota in the summers, wakeboarding, running, biking, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
