Creating a Canvas Parent Password

The first time you login as a Parent/Guardian Observer, you will need to create a password. Follow the instructions below to create an account password.

NOTE: We recommend that you set your initial password using a web browser rather than using the mobile app.  

1. Go to the Canvas Login page from a computer web browser.
    
2. Click the "Forgot Password?" link.

3. In the email field, enter the email address you use for your ParentVUE account.

4. Wait for the Canvas Password Reset email.

5. Select the "Click here to set a new password" link.

6. Enter the password of your choosing, at least 8 digits in length.

7. Now, log into Canvas with the password you created.

8. After you login, review and agree to the Acceptable Use Policy.

Reminders: Observer access is available for parents/guardians of students in 6-12th grades. ParentVUE continues to be the primary source of student grades and teacher communication.
