IN-DISTRICT TRANSFERS - CLOSED
In-district transfers are for students living within the Gresham-Barlow School District who want to attend another Gresham-Barlow school outside of their attendance area.
The Gresham-Barlow School District is no longer processing in-district transfer requests for the 2025-26 school year. In-district transfer requests are processed annually for the following school year between March 1 through July 31.
If you've submitted a request for the 2025-26 school year and have not received an approval or denial email, this means your student is on the waitlist. These requests may not be decided upon until late August after more registrations are received. This is most common with Kindergarten and 1st grade requests, but it can be the case at any grade level depending on current class sizes. We will email you as soon as a decision is made.

INTER-DISTRICT TRANSFERS
Transfer Into Gresham-Barlow Schools:
Parents or guardians seeking a transfer into the Gresham-Barlow School District must obtain an inter-district transfer release from their neighborhood school district. Check your district's website to learn about their application process.
Please know that a release from another district does not mean your student will be approved to enroll in a Gresham-Barlow school. All transfer decisions will be based on class size in the grade and school requested.

Transfer Out of Gresham-Barlow Schools:
The application period to request a transfer out of Gresham-Barlow to another district for the 2025-26 school year was open during the month of May and has since closed.
If you live within the Gresham-Barlow School District and want your child to attend school in another district due to a hardship, please email inter-district-transfers@gresham.k12.or.us to request an application.
