In-District Transfers - CLOSED
In-district transfers are for students living within the Gresham-Barlow School District who want to attend another Gresham-Barlow school outside of their attendance area.
The Gresham-Barlow School District is no longer processing in-district transfer requests for the 2026-27 school year. In-district transfer requests are processed annually for the following school year between March 1 through July 31.
If you've submitted a request for the 2026-27 school year and have not received an approval or denial email, this means your student is on the waitlist. These requests may not be decided upon until the week before school starts, after more registrations are received. This is most common with Kindergarten and 1st grade requests, but it can be the case at any grade level depending on current class sizes. We will email you as soon as a decision is made.

Inter-District Transfers INTO GBSD
If you live outside of the Gresham-Barlow School District but would like your child to attend a Gresham-Barlow school, please contact your home school district to request a release. If your home district grants a release for your child to our district, you will be notified by them. You can then contact us at inter-district-transfers@gresham.k12.or.us to complete an additional form for Gresham-Barlow admin to review.
Gresham-Barlow will not process requests to transfer into the district until release paperwork from the home school district is received. You will be notified of the district's decision via email.
Inter-District Transfers OUT of GBSD - CLOSED
The Gresham-Barlow School District accepts transfer requests to attend schools outside of the Gresham-Barlow catchment area during the month of May only.
If you live within the Gresham-Barlow School District and want your child to attend school in another district, please email inter-district-transfers@gresham.k12.or.us.
