IN-DISTRICT TRANSFERS - OPEN
The Gresham-Barlow School District will process in-district transfer requests for the 2025-26 school year between March 1 through July 31, 2025. The form for submitting this request is linked at the bottom of this section.
In-district transfers are for students living within the Gresham-Barlow School District who want to attend another Gresham-Barlow school outside of their attendance area. If your student currently has an in-district transfer and is moving from elementary to middle or middle to high, and you want them to attend a school outside of your attendance area, please submit a new request.
Once your transfer request is submitted, you will be notified by email after all requests have been reviewed. Please note: some requests may not be decided upon until late August after more registrations are received. This is most common with Kindergarten and 1st grade requests. If this is the case, you will be notified that your student is on the Waitlist until a decision can be made.

INTER-DISTRICT TRANSFERS
Transfer Into Gresham-Barlow Schools:
If you live outside of the Gresham-Barlow School District but would like your child to attend a Gresham-Barlow school, please contact your home school district to request a release. Check your district's website to learn about their application process.
If your home district grants a release for your child to our district, you will be notified. You must then complete our online application below for us to consider your request. We will process these requests throughout the summer.
Please know that a release from another district does not mean your student will be approved to enroll in a Gresham-Barlow school. All transfer decisions will be based on class size in the grade and school requested.

Transfer Out of Gresham-Barlow Schools:
The application period to request a transfer out of Gresham-Barlow to another district for the 2025-26 school year was open during the month of May and has since closed. If you haven't already done so, please contact your neighborhood school district for enrollment options.
If you live within the Gresham-Barlow School District and want your child to attend school in another district due to a hardship, please email inter-district-transfers@gresham.k12.or.us to request an application.
