Mr. Drake Shelton
Dear Gopher Families,
I would like to begin this message by saying thank you! Thank you to all the Gresham families, Front-line workers and individuals who kept our communities safe and our students learning. I am honored to be your principal. Our goal at Gresham High School is to develop critical thinkers, who are passionate about their community, education and others well-being. My vision, as the principal, is to ALWAYS put students first! My belief is that all students can learn. As educators, it is our responsibility to bring out the very best in all students.
Our classrooms are filled with collaboration, differentiated instruction and engagement strategies to support all styles of learning. Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationship we build within our community, which is most important given our current circumstances. Education of any student takes a team approach and Gresham High educational community cannot thank you enough for your partnership and support of all of our students. The “Village” within our community has stepped up and shown we are stronger together!
Although this year looks different than any other year, we are dedicated to providing your students with memorable experiences, which are engaging and interactive during distance learning.
My hope is that each student is able to get the necessary support needed to find success whether in distance learning or once we return to in-person instruction.
To all my fellow Gophers, let's continue to make this a great year!
Go Gophers!
Drake Shelton
