Greetings! Welcome to the 2022-23 school year, and welcome to the Gordon Russell Middle School Website. It is here that we will strive to provide you with any and all relevant information, dates, and announcements that will serve to enhance our students and families' experience during their time as a Thunderbird. We hope that you will also take the opportunity to download and utilize ParentVue to see your students' current grades and attendance- contact the office for your activation code. In addition, we are launching a new family communication tool called ParentSquare.
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
A student is considered a new student if he or she was NOT enrolled in Gordon Russell Middle School on the last day of the prior school year, or the student was NOT enrolled at Hall, Kelly Creek, or Powell Valley Elementary Schools at the end of 2021-2022 school year and currently lives in GRMS boundaries.
To enroll a new student for the 2022-2023 school year please fill out a registration packet (online registration is located under the "PARENTS" tab), obtain a current PGE electric bill, proof of age document (birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate, etc.), current immunizations and parent/guardian valid drivers license.
Gordon Russell Middle School qualifies for free breakfast and lunch for all students under the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). If you only have children attending CEP schools, you should not apply for Free and Reduced-Price Meals (FARMS). If you have at least one child at a school that is not CEP, please submit an application for FARMS. See the district webpage for more information.
AT ALL SCHOOLS, a la carte purchases have a cost to the family and must be pre-paid by account or in cash. A la carte purchases include milk without a school meal, bottled water, chips, cookies, and other snack and beverage items that are not part of a school meal.
All students have a meals account that follows them throughout their career at GBSD. This account is accessed when getting a meal using the student ID number, which is also the child’s PIN. Money may be added to the account by sending cash or check with your student to the cafeteria in the morning. Checks should be made out to Gresham-Barlow Nutrition Services. You may also add money by credit card using mymealtime.com. MealTime charges a small transaction fee for online payments.
Student schedules are available in StudentVue and ParentVue. If you are unable to log in, please call the front office for your activation code.
