Principal's Message

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Torbert

Welcome to Kelly Creek Elementary School – Home of the Cougarsl!  I am extremely honored to be part of this amazing learning community and staff who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our students.  Our young learners are the heart of our school, and the reason we are here. We are passionate about creating culturally responsive learning environments for all students by eliminating barriers and designing engaging, differentiated learning opportunities that promote continuous growth and improvement.

Kelly Creek has a reputation for academic excellence and was awarded the District’s banner for All Around Growth in Math and Language Arts for 16-17.   Our school was also the recipient of a grant from the Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission, which provided the opportunity for comprehensive technology integration across all content areas, SmartBoard technology in all classrooms, and 1:1 devices for all students. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, we are also a proud partner in the Right-Brain Initiative, as we believe arts integration is an important component in our students’ education.

Parents are important partners in our work at Kelly Creek, and our parents participate at home and at school in supporting learning opportunities for their children. Communication is an important element in this partnership, and we encourage parents to communicate early and often regarding their children’s school experiences.

You are always welcome at Kelly Creek, and I hope you will stop by often to experience an outstanding school environment and a passionate learning community. Working together, great things are happening for our students!
