Gresham High School Student Parking

Student Parking Pass Policy

Safety for all GHS students is extremely important to our school community. Parking on GHS property is a privilege and requires a permit. Parking passes will be issued to 11th and 12th grade students who have a valid driver’s license, current insurance and a properly registered vehicle. Students with a parking pass are allowed to park in the lot off of Main Ave by Burnside (GHS Student Lot). The Division and Main Ave (GHS Pool) lots are for staff and visitors only.

Parking Rules and Regulations

  • All GHS driving rules and school rules and regulations must be obeyed at all times.

  • All Oregon State driving laws and rules must be obeyed at all times.

  • Students driving in the GHS Student Lot should do so in a slow and cautious manner, always yielding to pedestrians.

  • Parking Permit Tags must be visible from the front of the vehicle while on campus.  If a parking permit is lost or damaged, the student must inform Student Management.  Parking permits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or sold.

  • Any vehicles parked on grass, dirt, concrete, sidewalks or where there is a sign indicating No Parking or any unauthorized area may be cited and/or towed at the owner’s expense.  Students are not permitted to park in staff, reserved or visitor parking spots.

  • GHS and/or the Gresham Barlow School District are not responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.  Students and their families are responsible for any damage caused by their vehicle.

Consequences and/or Fines

Students who violate any of the rules, regulations, or parts of this policy may be assigned disciplinary action, citation, and/or suspension/loss of parking privileges.

Any vehicle parked illegally in a handicapped space or a “No Parking Zone” may be towed at the owner’s expense.
