Gresham-Barlow School District update on health metrics and online instruction
Late this summer the Gresham-Barlow School District announced that it would be providing instruction completely online through at least mid-October.
In determining when to resume in-person instruction, the school district is required to follow guidance established by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). ODE and OHA have established health and safety metrics that must be met and maintained before in-person instruction can safely resume.
As of October 6, 2020, those metrics have not been met.
Online instruction will continue at least through the end of November.
Monitoring school reopening metrics
The community can monitor the school reopening health and safety metrics by visiting the Gresham-Barlow School District’s COVID-19 Dashboard. Metrics are updated weekly.
The District will continue to monitor the metrics and provide future updates to keep the community informed. The next update is currently planned to be released the week of November 16.
