Blake Petersen was raised in Gresham and educated at Gresham-Barlow schools, having attended Powell Valley Elementary, Kelly Creek Elementary, Gordon Russell Middle School, and Sam Barlow High School. After high school, Blake accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he studied foreign language and civil engineering. Upon graduation, Blake commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer in the US Army, and held a variety of leadership and analytical roles while on active duty.
Blake works as an analyst for the City of Gresham and is married to Stephanie, who is also a Barlow graduate. Together they have four kids and also serve as foster parents for Oregon DHS. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Blake likes to serve and worship with his church community and volunteer as a youth sports coach.
