Gresham-Barlow School District to hold School Safety Town Hall

Event will update parents, community on safety improvements made to schools and what to do in the event of a school emergency

The Gresham-Barlow School District will hold a School Safety Town Hall. The event will be held Thursday, January 31, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Gresham City Hall, located at 1333 NW Eastman Parkway, Gresham, OR.

At the event, the school district will update parents and the community on a variety of topics related to school safety.

Topics include:

-Safety improvements funded by the 2016 school bond

-How schools respond to an incident at a school

-How the school district communicates with parents during an emergency

-How parents can support their students and schools during an incident

-Q and A

In addition to representatives from the school district, the superintendent of public safety for the city of Gresham or a representative from the city will be present to represent police and fire first responders and to answer questions.
