Back to School Letter from Ms. Ramirez
A Letter from Principal Ramirez
August 23, 2022
Dear Hollydale Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We are extremely excited about the start of a new school year and the endless opportunities that await our school community. Hollydale Elementary is fortunate to have dedicated, knowledgeable and nurturing staff who are ready to provide your children with an effective and engaging educational experience.
This letter contains a lot of back to school information. Thank you for taking the time to read each item. During the school year we will communicate regularly in our weekly newsletter on ParentSquare. You can also find information on our website and social media pages.
This summer staff participated in training workshops for: the district-wide Wonders Curriculum, Leadership, Support Staff Professional Learning, Counselor Professional Development and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports). All of these training workshops will support our students academically, social emotionally, and behaviorally. A few staff members and parents also spent many hours maintaining the school garden including overseeing the installation of a permanent gazebo. We are excited our outdoor learning area will be accessible to all students rain or shine. Our custodians have spent the entire summer cleaning the building and preparing each classroom for students to return September 6. The office staff is now busy registering new students, ordering materials, and updating student files. Last, but not least, the Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is gearing up to welcome families, offer exciting events and volunteer opportunities.
This year we will continue to ensure that all students have the tools necessary to be successful. Our work will continue to align with our vision and mission of creating an equitable community learning to think creatively and achieve high academic goals. Our focus will be continuing to ensure that each and every Hollydale student has access to quality, grade level instruction as well as different levels of support to meet their academic, social and emotional needs.
